Even when the clock was set, it was convenient to navigate on TV: if the time coincides with the broadcast, then you need to move the hands back. New Year has always been celebrated twice, and this also seems to be something natural, simply because it has always been that way. First, we listen to the president at 11:00 pm with glasses of champagne, and then we do not disagree for another hour and wait for the address of our governor. Many Kaliningraders, when they leave for New Year's holidays, still count two New Years - in Moscow and local time.

Probably, the capital holiday is still more important: it is the first and takes place earlier, and is common for the whole country, from which we are separated by borders.

Everyone is in a hurry and getting ready to address the president, but they have already gathered to the local one and are waiting for "when will we clink glasses again and shout Happy New Year." It's also great that you can, for example, celebrate a holiday in Moscow with your parents or one company, and catch the Kaliningrad chimes (we have a clock on the Cathedral - one of the symbols of the city) to take a taxi to another part of the city. In fact, it is difficult for me to judge whether this time difference can interfere or not interfere, because in Kaliningrad they are born and live with it. And they really like to tell visitors about our two New Years (some are surprised and amused). Perhaps, if we decided to change the time zone, then immediately there would be many opponents and supporters of the translation of the arrows, but I think that this is unlikely to happen. Two New Years are better than one.
