It was created in 1953 on the basis of the correspondence faculty of the Moscow Technological Institute of the Food Industry. Previously called the All-Union Correspondence Institute of the Food Industry (VZIPP), the Moscow State Correspondence Institute of the Food Industry (MGZIPP), the Moscow State Technological Academy (MGTA), since 2004 the Moscow State University of Technology and Management (MGUTU). Since 2010, the university has been involved in the implementation of a major project - targeted training of specialists from among the Cossacks. The total number of Cossacks studying at the university is more than two thousand people. It was this work and a large amount of scientific research that became the basis for assigning the name of K.G. Razumovsky, a Cossack from Little Russia, the first Russian President of the Imperial Academy of Sciences.

MGUTU them. K.G. Razumovsky (PKU) was founded in 1953 as the All-Union Correspondence Institute of the Food Industry. Today the university has the status of a leading Russian university that trains specialists for food and processing enterprises of various forms of ownership. In addition, the university entered the ranking of the best food universities in the world.

Currently, the university prepares specialists for a wide variety of sectors of the food and processing industry, because it is this industry that today is developing at a rapid pace, and the income from the export of agricultural products is almost equal to oil and gas.

Therefore, against the background of a shortage of qualified personnel, technologists-graduates of our departments successfully find themselves an interesting, well-paid job and are always in demand by large enterprises.

We provide students with a full range of advanced knowledge, including mastering new ideas and successful technologies in close cooperation with reputable Russian research institutes and centers.

Practice shows that university graduates not only quickly adapt to a market economy, work in a dynamically changing environment, but are also able to take part in the formation of new, effective, high-tech clusters of the economy.

Over the years of the university's existence, the area of buildings under the operational management of the university has been expanded by 4 times.

Forms of education

Full-time education

Having chosen this method of obtaining higher education, the student must attend lectures and seminars, and at the end of the semester take exams.

Part-time education

The possibility of obtaining higher education without stopping work is provided by part-time, also known as an evening form of study. Classes in this form are held in the evening or on weekends, and the student can work during the day.

Extramural studies

The correspondence form of study presupposes a sufficiently large degree of self-study in combination with elements of the full-time form.

The correspondence form is usually divided into two phases:

  • an installation session, when a student is provided with a list of literature necessary for self-study, and he carefully studies it, obtaining a knowledge base, and
  • credit-examination session, when teachers in full-time form check the acquired material from students.

Typically, the phases are significantly spaced in time, and exams are held twice a year - in winter and summer.

Distance learning

With the advent of the possibility of distance interaction with students, a corresponding new form of education has also emerged.

Distance learning involves the delivery of the studied material to students and their remote communication with teachers using Internet services:

  • specialized distance learning systems,
  • Email,
  • chats,
  • video conferencing
  • in other ways.

At the same time, the students themselves choose the time for independent work, and with any questions that have arisen, they can contact the teacher.

With distance learning, you can get an education in another city without leaving your home.

Student life at MGUTU

On the basis of the university, an English club, a sports club and an international business school Schneider Electric were created. For students, conferences, master classes, round tables, exhibitions, competitions, excursions and many other entertainment events are regularly held.

MGUTU named after K. G. Razumovsky (PKU) was founded in 1953 as the All-Union Correspondence Institute of the Food Industry. The decision to create a university was dictated by the needs of the development of sectors of the national economy - to secure professional staff in the regions, at enterprises. That is why it was required to train young people on the job.

In 1991, a full-time (full-time) department was opened at the institute.

In 1999, the university was renamed the Moscow State Technological Academy, and in 2003 - the Moscow State University of Technology and Management. Today the university has the status of a leading Russian university that trains specialists for food and processing enterprises of various forms of ownership. In addition, the university entered the ranking of the best food universities in the world.

At the origins of the university's scientific schools were such scientists as Professor Georgy Gerasimovich Agabalyants, who developed the technology of industrial production of "Soviet Champagne", Professor Natalya Petrovna Kozmina, who laid the foundations of bread biochemistry, Professor Yuri Arkadyevich Klyachko, the founder of the scientific school of analytical chemistry. The departments of our university are named after these outstanding scientists.

Currently, the university trains specialists for a wide variety of sectors of the food and processing industry, because it is this industry that is developing at a rapid pace, and the income from the export of agricultural products is almost equal to that of oil and gas. Therefore, against the background of a shortage of qualified personnel, technologists-graduates of our departments successfully find themselves an interesting, well-paid job and are always in demand by large enterprises.

The University provides students with a full range of in-depth knowledge, new ideas and successful technologies are being mastered in close cooperation with reputable Russian research institutes and centers.

A health and fitness center was built. Managed to significantly modernize the international activities of the university. Cooperation is developing with universities in China, India, Norway and Iceland.

Since 2010, the university has been involved in the implementation of a major project - targeted training of specialists from among the Cossacks. That is why the university was named after Kirill Grigorievich Razumovsky, a Cossack from Little Russia, the first Russian president of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences. New traditions have also appeared at the university. Each discipline includes the so-called Cossack component - that is, additional sections, topics and special courses within the framework of the federal educational standard.

In 2014, the university was renamed in accordance with its specifics: the First Cossack University was added to the previous name.

In the field of Cossack education, in order to improve its quality, the system of continuous Cossack education has been significantly developed, and clusters of continuous Cossack education are being formed.

Cossack continuing education clusters are networked educational partnerships organized by military Cossack societies, schools with Cossack cadet classes, colleges and the First Cossack University. The clusters implement the unified content of Cossack education according to the levels of education and patriotic upbringing based on the historical and cultural traditions of the Cossacks.

Focusing on regional problems of personnel training for food and processing industry enterprises, the university, within the framework of the cluster of continuous Cossack education, opened training for secondary vocational education programs, gathered specialized colleges and technical schools around the regional branches.

Thus, during its history, the university has gone through a number of stages of formation and development, while one thing has been and remains unchanged - education of the highest quality for the country's success.
