26 points in the Russian exam. Unified State Exam

The transfer of USE points is made after the initial result is calculated, on the basis of the approved scale, it is converted into test points.

They play an important role in admission to a university and are recorded in the certificate of passing the exam.

Those who graduate from grade 11 and are preparing to enter a university are especially interested in learning how the USE score is translated.

Hundreds of thousands of students undergo this procedure every year. To obtain a certificate, it is enough to pass only two subjects - mathematics and Russian.

The rest of the subjects - and there are a total of 14 - are taken on a voluntary basis, depending on the chosen university.

In order for the results to be displayed in the certificate, the graduate needs to score more than the established minimum.

How the USE results are assessed

The exam results are evaluated by the commission and transferred to a 100-point system.

There is an algorithm for converting these amounts into more familiar estimates. This method has not been officially applied since 2009.

But if you wish, you can familiarize yourself with the scale of translation of USE grades.

The evaluation of the results is carried out in two stages:

  • according to the number of tasks completed, the student is given a primary score. It consists of the sum for all tasks completed correctly;
  • further, the primary USE scores are converted into test ones. This figure is recorded in the USE certificate and plays an important role for admission to a university. Below is a translation table for the mathematics exam.

Important: the scale is designed taking into account the complexity of the tasks.

You can always get up-to-date information on the Unified State Exam on the portal http://ege.edu.ru/ru.

What is the minimum score

To receive the USE certificate, a student needs to score more than the established minimum limit in Russian language and mathematics.

It is determined annually for each individual subject. Basically, the minimum score is the equivalent of a three.

This result reflects that the student has mastered the curriculum satisfactorily.

Minimum score:

  1. Determines the issuance of a certificate of passing the exam.
  2. It is established for each subject annually after passing the exam and before the results are published.

At the end of 2016, in order to obtain a certificate, it was necessary to obtain at least 36 test points in the Russian language.

In mathematics, this border is 3, and in the profile level - 27.

Difference between primary scores and test scores

When evaluating the results of passing the exam, the initial amount is set first. Then, these points of the USE 2017 are transferred into test ones.

They are determined on a 100-point scale. This mark will be included in the USE certificate if it is higher than the minimum.

When calculating points, the algorithm is as follows:

  1. For each correctly completed task, one or more points are awarded.
  2. At the end, the amount for the entire work is calculated.
  3. The primary USE scores are being translated.

With regard to test scores, they are counted on a 100-point system. But the sum of the primary ones may differ for different subjects.

For example, in mathematics, you can get 30 primary points, and for foreign languages this boundary is 80.

The assessment of the assignment depends on its complexity. For the tasks of part B, one primary point is awarded for the correct answer.

For part C, there are several options: for tasks 1 and 2, 2 primary points are awarded, the correct answer to question 3 and 4 gives 3 at once, and tasks 5 and 6 will add 4 points to the student's result.

USE scores and grades

Although there is an approximate scale for converting USE scores into grades familiar to all students, this system has not been applied since 2009.

The refusal to transfer to grades is due to the fact that the amount of points does not affect the indicator in the certificate. It is recorded in a separate certificate.

In the event that a student scored less than the minimum in one of the compulsory subjects, he will not be issued a certificate or a certificate.

If this is a subject of those that are surrendered on a voluntary basis, the result will simply not be counted anywhere.

If the exam results in an unsatisfactory mark, what should be done? It all depends on what subject.

  1. If the number of points scored is below the minimum in mathematics or in the Russian language, you can retake the exam in the same year on one of the reserve days.
  2. When an unsatisfactory mark is obtained in both subjects at once, retaking is possible only next year.
  3. If you did not manage to score enough points in an optional subject, you can retake the exam only next year. An unsatisfactory result will not be reflected in any document. In fact, everything will look as if the graduate did not pass this exam at all.

Depending on the subject, retake is possible either in the same year on reserve days, or in the next.

Thus, if a student does not pass mathematics at the basic level, he / she can take advantage of reserve days.

And if a low score was obtained based on the results of the profile level, retake will be possible only in a year.

What to do if the graduate does not agree with the assessment

If a graduate is confident that his work deserves a higher mark, he has the right to appeal.

In such a situation, the work will be re-examined by the conflict commission.

There are two possible outcomes. When a grade appears to be undervalued, the student can either add or remove points.

Important: according to the results of the exam in 2010, of all appeals filed, the third part was satisfied.

The first two parts of the exam are tested without human intervention. The possibility of errors cannot be ruled out.

This may be due to illegible handwriting and similar circumstances.

If the grade appears to be an underestimate, students appeal.

What the exam consists of

The general text of the assignment consists of three parts.

  1. Part A is written as a test. The graduate needs to choose the correct one out of the four proposed answer options.
  2. In part B, the following types of tasks are possible: writing a one-word answer, choosing several correct options, or establishing correspondences.
  3. In part C, the student is asked to give a detailed answer to the question.

The check progress differs depending on the type of task. The first two parts are checked automatically. The responses are scanned by the system and graded.

This process takes place without human intervention. Upon completion of the verification, the results are sent to the testing center located in Moscow.

Part C is assessed by two independent experts. If the results match, this total is set.

If a slight discrepancy is found after the evaluation, the average result is displayed.

If there is a noticeable inconsistency, a third specialist is appointed.

After completing the verification, all data is sent to a single testing center. There they are processed and recorded in the database.

From there they are sent to the schools where the exam was taken.

How Unified State Exam Results Affect University Admission

In order to apply for admission to a university, graduates need to take the Unified State Exam.

In total, you can apply to 5 universities, in each of them no more than three specialties.

The application is prepared in writing and handed over personally, or sent by mail.

If you choose the second option, you will need to issue a certified letter with a description of the attachment, as well as a return receipt.

To find out whether the application was satisfied, you need to go to the official website of the university.

When the acceptance of documents is completed, there is a list of those who apply for admission. Their results of passing the exam are also given there.

Enrollment takes place in two waves.

  1. When the first list is published, several days are allotted for applicants to provide the originals of their documents (in most cases, they send copies).
  2. If the deadline for the provision of documents has ended, but there are still free places, a second list is prepared.

To enter the university, you will need the following package of documents:

  • application for admission;
  • certified copies of the passport and identity document;
  • a form with a list of points scored based on the USE results;
  • photographs (their size and number are established by the rules of the university).

Other documents may also be required from the applicant. For detailed information, you need to contact the university of interest.

The transfer of USE points in 2017 is carried out according to the same system as in previous years.

To pass the exam, you need to score at least the minimum number of points, which is set for each subject annually.

To get a certificate and a certificate with the results of the exam, you need to exceed this limit in compulsory subjects.

The formula for transferring USE points

The scale for converting primary USE scores into test scores is shown in the table. YOU can also calculate your grade using the formula below.

where t is the test score of the USE according to the 100-point system, which goes to the USE certificate, 0 is the primary score of the examiner, 0 min is the grade corresponding to one primary point, 0max is the grade corresponding to the primary point, one less than the maximum possible. Round the result to the nearest whole number. Zero primary score corresponds to 0 points for the Unified State Exam, and the maximum primary score corresponds to 100 points for the Unified State Exam.

In accordance with clauses 9 and 27 of the Regulations on the conduct of a unified state examination in 2008, approved by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated February 5, No. 36 (registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on February 29, 2008, registration No. 11251), and on the basis of the decision of the Commission on scaling the results of the unified state examination in 2008, created by order of Rosobrnadzor dated 05.15.2008 No. 1002 (minutes dated 05.06.2008 No. 5):

1. To establish a scale for converting the points of the unified state exam (hereinafter - the USE) in the Russian language into a five-point assessment system used to mark the certificate of secondary (complete) general education in 2008:

0 - 39 points - mark 2

40 - 57 points - mark 3

58 - 71 points - mark 4

72 -100 points - mark 5

2. The Federal State Institution Federal Testing Center (S.S. Kravtsov) prepares reports on the results of the Unified State Exam to be guided by paragraph 1 of this order.

3. The control over the execution of the order shall be entrusted to the Department for Control and Evaluation of the Quality of Education (VN Shaulina).

Supervisor

L.N. Glebova

Order of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) No. 1271-08 of 05.06.2007 "On the establishment of a scale for converting points into marks during the unified state exam in the Russian language in 2007"

How the USE results are assessed

The USE results are assessed on a 100-point scale and are presented in a special "Certificate of the results of the unified state exam."

When assessing the results of the USE, the minimum number of test points for each educational subject is established, confirming the mastering by the graduate of the main general educational programs of secondary (complete) education in accordance with the requirements of the federal educational standard of secondary (complete) general education. If the student scored less than the established minimum number of points (did not overcome the minimum threshold), then the USE is considered not passed.

The value of the minimum threshold is announced within 6-8 days after the USE in the subject in the main terms and 2-3 days after the USE in additional terms in July.

Unified State Exam Assessment Scale

When you complete tasks on the exam, for each correct decision, 1 or more points are awarded, depending on the difficulty. In this case, a correctly completed task of part A or B is estimated at 1 point, part C - up to 4 points. The sum of these points is called the “baseline score” (PB). In fact, this is the number of correctly completed tasks.

The number of minimum PBs for different subjects may differ, for example:
  • math: 36 PB,
  • biology: 36 PB,
  • foreign languages: 22 PB.

But these are not the points that will be useful to you, for example, for admission to a university. They need to be translated on a 100-point scale. This is the so-called "test score" (TB).

TB evaluates the student's level of preparedness. It depends on the level of complexity of the tasks performed on the exam. This score is used to determine the final grade. The maximum test score on the exam in any subject: 100 points.

The primary score is converted to a test score according to a special formula.

How the Unified State Exam affects obtaining a certificate

The basis for issuing a secondary education certificate to a graduate is satisfactory USE results, i.e., the number of points is not lower than the minimum threshold in compulsory subjects (Russian and mathematics). In this case, the graduate receives 2 documents: a school certificate and a certificate of the results of the exam.

The final marks are set in the certificate according to the traditional 5-point system, which are defined as the arithmetic average of the graduate's annual marks for grades 10-11 (12).

The USE results do not affect the final marks set in the certificate.

If a graduate has not passed the minimum threshold in one of the subjects - Russian language or mathematics - on the Unified State Exam in the main terms and during retake, then he will not be issued a certificate.

How and when you can find out the results of the exam

The results of the exam must be known to participants no later than 3 working days after Rosobrnadzor announces the minimum thresholds for each of the subjects. Thus, no more than 12 days pass from the date of the exam. Most regions inform their USE participants earlier.

Unified State Exam participants - graduates of the current year, certificates of USE results are issued at an educational institution. The rest of the USE participants will find out their results where they received a pass to the USE: this is either the PPE in which they took the exam, or the education governing body of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation, local education governing bodies.

According to the current regulations, each constituent entity of the Russian Federation is independently responsible for informing USE participants about the results. In some regions, this information can be accessed free of charge on the Internet. You can find out your results with an individual code (passport number, etc.).

  • Moscow and Moscow region: www.rcoi.net
  • St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region: ege.spb.ru

Lists of USE participants with their exam results are posted on information boards (at school, PPE, educational administration, etc.).

The validity period of the certificate of the results of the exam

On November 20, 2013, letter No. DL-345/17 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation "On the effect of the USE results" was published.

"The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia on the issue of the effect of the results of the unified state exam obtained before the entry into force of September 1, 2013 of the Federal Law of December 29, 2012 No. 273-FZ" On Education in the Russian Federation "(hereinafter - the Federal Law), informs ...

According to part 2 of Article 70 of the Federal Law, the results of the unified state examination for admission to training in undergraduate and specialist programs valid for four years following the year of obtaining such results.

Consequently, admission to organizations that carry out educational activities for bachelor's and specialty programs is allowed based on the results of a unified state exam, confirmed by certificates of the Unified State Exam issued in 2015 and 2016, and valid until the end of 2019 and 2020, respectively.

The USE certificate after September 1, 2020 is valid for four years following the year of passing the exam. That is, the 2018 certificate expires in December 2022 and can be used for admission to universities in the period from 2018 to 2022. Consequently, certificates issued in 2019 and 2020 are valid through 2023 and 2024, respectively.

After checking the USE tasks in mathematics, a primary score is given for their completion:

  • For the basic level in mathematics - from 0 to 20;
  • For the profile level in mathematics - from 0 to 30.

Each task is evaluated with a certain number of points: the more difficult the task, the more points you can get for it. For the correct execution of each task in the exam in mathematics of the basic level, 1 point is given. For the correct execution of tasks in the exam in mathematics of the profile level, from 1 to 4 points are given, depending on the complexity of the task.

After that, the primary score is converted into a test score, which is indicated in the USE certificate. It is this point that is used for admission to higher educational institutions. Transfer of Unified State Exam points carried out using a special scale of points. The USE score in basic mathematics is not required for admission, so it is not translated into a test score and is not indicated in the USE certificate.

Also, according to the score for the exam, you can determine the approximate mark on a five-point scale that a student would receive for completing tasks on the exam.

Below is the scale for converting USE scores in mathematics for basic and professional levels: primary scores, test scores and a rough estimate.
