Transfer of exam points to the secondary system. Exam scores in Russian

Each graduate understands perfectly well that for successful admission to the specialty of interest, it is necessary to qualitatively prepare for the Unified State Exam 2018 and score the maximum possible points. What does it mean to “pass the exam well” and how many points will be enough to compete for a budget place in a particular university? This will be discussed in this article.

We will touch on such important issues:

First of all, it is important to understand that there is:

  • minimum score, giving the right to obtain a certificate;
  • the minimum score that allows you to submit documents to the university;
  • the minimum score sufficient for real admission to the budget for a specific specialty at a certain university in Russia.

Naturally, these figures differ significantly.

Minimum certification score

The minimum attestation points for the USE are set for compulsory subjects - the Russian language and mathematics of the basic level and in 2018 are:

Having overcome this threshold, but not reaching the minimum test score, the examinee will receive a certificate, but will not be able to apply to the university.

Minimum test score

The test minimum is a threshold value that gives the right to enter the university. In other words, persons who have passed the test threshold theoretically have the right to join the struggle for budget places. Although, in practice, it is almost impossible to enter highly ranked universities with minimal indicators.

In 2018, in all subjects, except for the Russian language and basic mathematics, the test minimum USE scores coincide with the certification ones and are:

The principle of calculating the success of the unified state examination assumes that the subject must demonstrate a high, medium or sufficient level of knowledge corresponding to the marks "5", "4" and "3" in the school scale.

In case of an unsatisfactory result, as well as when passing for a point, which the examinee himself considers insufficient for himself, the graduates are given the right to retake the exam.

Minimum score for admission to the budget

Most universities announce the threshold score required for applicants for a budget place. This allows each applicant to realistically assess the prospects for admission and choose universities and specialties, taking into account the points scored on the exam.

In 2018, you can focus on the fact that last season the average passing scores in all USE subjects among applicants who entered MGIMO and other highly regarded universities in the capital fluctuated between the threshold value of 80-90. But, for most of the regional universities of the Russian Federation, a competitive result can be considered already 65-75 points.

Converting the primary score to the resulting score

By completing the tasks offered in the exam ticket, the examinee gains the so-called primary points, the maximum value of which varies depending on the subject. When assessing the level of knowledge, such primary points are converted into resulting ones, which are entered in the certificate and are basic upon admission.

Using an online calculator, you can compare the primary and test scores for subjects of interest.

Just like last year, in 2018 the points scored during the USE affect the score of the certificate and, although the table of comparison of the test score and traditional grades is not officially accepted, you can roughly compare your scores right now using a universal calculator.

Please note that the average passing scores for different specialties at the same university can vary significantly. This figure reflects the minimum score of applicants admitted to the budget, and tends to change every year. The results of 2017 can only serve as a kind of reference point for applicants in 2018, motivating them to achieve the highest possible results.

The minimum passing score is influenced by many factors, including:

  1. the total number of graduates who submitted applications and the points indicated on their certificates;
  2. the number of applicants who provided originals of documents;
  3. the number of beneficiaries.

So, seeing your surname at the 20th place in the list of specialties, which provides for 40 budget places, you can confidently consider yourself a student. But, even if you find yourself on this list of 45, there is no reason to be upset if there are 5-10 people among those standing in front of you who have provided copies of documents, because most likely these people are tuned in to another university and applied for this specialty as a fallback ...

Below is a scale for translating the primary scores of the profile USE in mathematics in 2019:

  • The collected primary score is transferred to the test one. Each task of the test part "costs" 1 point. Writing assignments - from 2 to 4 points
  • To pass the threshold on the profile USE, you need to solve at least 6 problems, that is, dial 6 primary or 27 test points.

Moreover, you can see that the first part is very "expensive" in terms of points, for one task of the first part you can get 1 raw point, which is recoded into 5 or 6 test points!

  • If you solve all the problems of the first part correctly, then you can type 62 points.
  • If you solve the entire first part, numbers 13, 15 and 17 (most often these numbers are solved by those who have a solid "5" at school), then you can dial 80 points.

  • Further points can be taken on geometry (no. 14, 16), parameters (no. 18) or number theory (no. 19). If you decided, for example, No. 14, took a couple of points for No. 19, deciding a) and b) - this is already 88 points.
  • So to dial above 80 points, you need to be able to solve problems at least one of these topics or several:

- options,

- planimetry,

- stereometry,

For example, you solved 12 problems, but made a mistake in one, and as a result you get 11 primary and 56 test points, but could get 62 points (!), if we had not made a mistake in some number, it could even have been the simplest number 1. Wrong again, get already 50 points for the first part. A point for the simplest task number 1 "weighs" as much as one point for a complex planimetry number 16, the computer does not care where you typed it. The main strategy is to be careful in the first part.

The plan of the exam work for the exam in mathematics

The work is calculated for 3 hours 55 minutes. If you plan to perform tasks of a high level of complexity numbered 18-19, then the first part number 1-12 should take you no more than 30 minutes.

Good luck to everyone on the exam!

The system for evaluating USE results is not easy: instead of the usual "fours" and "fives" you will face primary and test scores... What is the primary and test score is easy to understand. It is much more difficult to understand how the primary scores are translated into test scores.

Primary and test score of the exam: definitions

Primary score- this is preliminary exam score... The primary score is obtained by adding up the marks for correctly completed assignments. For example, a correctly completed task of Part A or Part B is estimated at 1 point, Part C - up to 6 points. The maximum number of primary points for all tasks of control measuring materials (CMM) in various subjects ranges from 39 to 80 points.

Test score- this is final USE score... It is obtained from the primary using a special table. Each year, for each subject, its own special table is compiled.

Example: in 2013, the graduate received a primary score of 35 on the USE in history. According to the table, his test score will be 58 / And his deskmate, passing the same story, received one primary point more - 36. His test score according to the table will already be 60.

The number of test points to strive for must be higher than the minimum established for the subject. But, as a rule, graduates who are going to receive higher education know in advance how many test points they need to score to enter a university for their chosen specialty, since universities publish this information.

Converting primary scores to test scores

As we said, there are tables for converting primary scores into test scores... The USE assessment system is such that even knowing his primary score, a graduate will not be able to independently accurately determine his test score, since new tables are drawn up every year. It takes 6-8 days to transfer primary points to test points.

However, in fairness, it should be noted that the tables of different years are not very different: for some subjects the number of test points remains the same, for some it changes by 2-3.

The total number of participants in the main day of the main period of the Unified State Exam in 2018 exceeded 327 thousand people, which, as in previous years, amounted to more than half of the total number of participants in the Unified State Exam. Social studies is the most widespread exam passed by the choice of graduates, which led to the extreme heterogeneity of the level of training of the contingent of the exam participants. The demand for exam results for admission to training in a wide range of specialties is due to the fact that the exam includes checking the foundations of socio-philosophical, economic, sociological and legal knowledge and provides for high requirements for the level of training of graduates (even a high level of requirements is imposed on the achievement of the minimum score ).

In general, the share of participants who did not overcome the minimum score increased in 2018 compared to 2017 and amounted to 17.4% (in 2017 - 13.8%; in 2016 - 17.6%).

The number of 100 points in 2018 increased in comparison with 2017: 198 against 142. The growth in 2018 of the share of 100 points to 0.06% (in 2017 - 0.04%) and high points to 7.4% (in 2017 - 4.5%) may be due to the further spread of the practice of differentiated training of graduates, taking into account their individual level of formation of the system of knowledge and skills, as well as the aforementioned improvement of the assessment system for a number of tasks and the implementation of a system of measures to improve the quality of work of subject commissions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation ...

The correspondence between the primary USE scores in 2018 and the test scores in all academic subjects according to the 100-point assessment system is determined by the documents of Rosobrnadzor.

The scale for converting USE scores in 2018 into a 100 point system

To confirm the development of the educational program of secondary general education in each academic subject, except for the USE in mathematics of the basic level, a minimum number of USE scores is established according to a 100-point assessment system.

Also, the minimum number of points in each subject of the Unified State Exam, required for admission to universities, has been established. Below this level, universities do not have the right to set their own minimum scores with which they will accept applicants.

But above - they can. Therefore, these points should be based on (and not be guided by them) if you decide to pursue higher education.

The difference in the minimum points for obtaining a certificate and admission to a university is only in the Russian language.

The results are valid for 4 years following the year of obtaining such results.

The desire to know your results right away is quite understandable, but you should wait a bit. On average, papers are checked one to two weeks, depending on the number of those taking the exam. For example, a large number of children take the exam in the Russian language, on average about 700 thousand people annually.

This is a big exam, so the results will be in about two weeks. And the results from the literature can be obtained much faster. The deadlines for issuing the results to participants are determined by Rosobrnadzor and published on the ege.edu.ru portal.
